Is it just my blood that boils when I hear or read the word iPhonography? It sends shivers down my spine in the same way as nails scraping down a blackboard.
As the title says, the iPhone is NOT a camera, it’s a phone with a very poor excuse for a camera bundled in, and as smart phones go the camera is on the inferior side! A while back I took exactly the same photograph on my Galaxy as a friend did in an iPhone. The Galaxy camera knocks spots of the poor quality images of an iPhone.
I despise Apple and would never own any product with an ‘i’ in-front of its name! One word describes Apple devotees perfectly, ‘mugs’. Apple owners have been mugged into believing in a ridiculous evangelical brand to the point of almost religious fervour. What kind of idiot dashes out every few months to buy the latest iProduct, for which plans for its replacement are already in place, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iphone 5GT, iPhone 5GTX, iPhone 5GTX Ghia? And don’t even get me onto the iPad. Perhaps Apple where a little ahead of the game with the iPad, but the rest of the market has now overtaken them.
Apple products are over priced, ridiculously proprietary, and nowhere near as great as the disciples believe they are! If Apple told their followers they owned the atmosphere and you needed to buy ‘Apple Oxygen’ via their iPhones, they’d probably pay. Like I said – mugs!
Back to iPhonography: What a stupid word. I have little doubt it was dreamt up by some worker ant in the marketing department at Apple to infest the English language with just another iWord, and as a precursor to Apple attempting to patent ‘photography’ and file a whole other load of spurious legal cases. Apple v A. Adams?
Really, a photograph of your dinner taken on you shitty iPhone and run through Instagram to give it a retro 70s feel is not photography at all! It’s not ‘artistic’, and has no aesthetic value to anyone but you. By all means delude yourself, and by all means show your mum (she’s probably the only person who’s interested), but please, please stop polluting my world with this crap!
